Yesterday I did my first piece of work in the Basic Space Gallery/Warehouse.
It was an interaction video projection piece built using processing.
Processing really fascinates me because once you learn the language or text you can 'tell' the computer to do anything you desire or think of and it shows it to you. In this case it was based on my Rybczynski test.
I didn't really think about what music I was putting on but some people commented on it, it was just a nice playlist I made for my friend Emma last Christmas, nice tunes. People were having fun interacting with the video projection and others were having fun watching them have fun and I took these photos of just that.
The whole thing is that I told the computer what to do with what it sees because I changed some variables and altered the text a bit, but I didn't tell anyone to get up and dance and do handstands and smile and run around and make faces, I just presented it to them, they did it.
Also whats the difference between what the computer sees and what you see? Because really you are the only one that sees anything right?
I might add a few more photos, I might not, these just worked out nicely...
